Episode 15: Back From ISE in Amsterdam Happy, Talking Tech… and Boy Are Our Feet Tired

Join the Crew: Host Corey Moss, Katye McGregor Bennett, Deron Pinchback, Joey D’Angelo and Taylor Meyer as they welcome their guests:

Justin Kennington – Director of Strategic and Technical Marketing at Aptovision and President at SDVoE Alliance

Mike Shinn – Director of Global Managed Services at Verrex

Ian Goldberg – Account Manager at Ihiji

Paul Zielie (who joined in midway) – Manager, Enterprise Solutions at Harman

The Crew begin discussion with the guests about the ISE experience leading off with Justin who talks about Aptovision BlueRiver NT+ AV signal distribution technology, as well as the new SDVoE Alliance – Software Defined Video over Ethernet – bringing leading companies in the space together around a standardized hardware and software platform. Justin tells all about the Alliance, along with the founding member companies.

Ian talks about Ihiji, a company that provides remote management for IP-enabled devices, helping integrators of the ‘Internet of Things’ to manage all client networks and IP devices without rolling a truck. Then, the guy who has already circled the globe before attending ISE, Mike Shinn tells us all about what he’s doing with Verrex as well as his and the company’s experience at ISE. Mike and the Crew also talk about that great party on the first day of the show – the Tweetup – which many attended. Mike then had to leave during the podcast to have important discussions with clients and world leaders, so he had to drop. Had to drop — listen for it.

Paul Zielie joins in to talk about some of what Harman showed at ISE, as well as how many minutes he spent in the booth. Paul talked about education sessions he led along with panels he sat on, as well as one of the Networked Application Labs Defence Against The Dark Arts (he conducted a Network Traffic Analysis session as well).

So – sit back, plug in, get ready to listen to an episode that highlights the great AV industry show (largest attendance ever!), and make sure you live…

The AV Life.
