Episode 88: 9 – Creativity, Content, Videowalls… VIRTULARIUM

Join the Crew host Corey Moss, Michelle Loret, Alan Brawn, Jonathan Brawn, Steve Picanza and JoAnn Arcenal as they welcome their guest:

Jon 9 – CEO at Holonyne and Techno-Shaman at VIRTULARIUM

On June 21, Jon 9 and his team opened the doors to the public for the first time to experience the future of digital art and entertainment – the VIRTULARIUM VIDEOWALL Gallery.

On this extended episode, in the first half you’ll hear Jon and the Crew talk about the VIDEOWALL Gallery, WALLSITE,* “Gabriel 2..0..2..5” videowall movie, along with creative, digital content and the growth of the videowall market.

In the second half, after a brand new segment brought by Steve Picanza (JoAnn gets in on this too), and the return of the Tier PM ‘Hot Jobs’ (AV and IT), Jon takes over the host seat and asks each of the Crew members a (surprise) technology question – starting with a futuristic one for Jonathan. Jon brings visual harmonics discussion in his conversation with Alan, and talks technology and branding with Steve. Corey gets a different kind of question, where he talks about Jon as the Techno-Shaman of the industry.

At the end of the show, Alan, Jonathan (well, he tries) and JoAnn team up to bring ‘The Final Word.’

Sit back, plug in, and listen to the creative videowall technology mastermind behind VIRTULARIUM as we live…

Episode 75: When the Creative and the Content are the Experience

Join the Crew host Corey Moss, Katye McGregor Bennett, Michelle Loret – and guest Crew member Steven Picanza as they welcome their guests:

Ed King – Co-Founder at HighStreet Collective
Vern Freedlander – President at Grace Street Media
Jennifer Hetzel – Business Development Director at Creative Realities, Inc.
Brandy Alvarado – Marketing and Business Development Manager at rp Visual Solutions

OpenEye Global’s Steve Picanza joins the Crew for this one for a conversation that he’s also the perfect fit for. You will hear why.

Corey begins talking with Jennifer as she helped bring the theme, as well as the guests to this show – she talks about Creative Realities and what they do in terms of the technology, creative and the experience. Ed talks about HighStreet being consultants and practitioners focused on the retail space, designing around the shopper’s experience. Vern talks about Grace Street Media in terms of the “marriage” of content and technology, along with strategic thinking and storytelling. Brandy talks about rp Visual Solutions and the #MoreThanAMount statement.

Next, all talk about creative and content, and Jennifer begins by talking about her and Vern being a part of the DSF Education Committee, educational programs and how they discuss content. Ed talks about the Digital Experience (DX) Forum at DSE, focused discussion from the forum about the CMO being the new client and talking to the CMO in their language. Steve, with his marketing and brand experience picks up on the discussion talking about a proactive approach and how it relates to digital signage perspective and design. He also talks about omnichannel. Vern talks about how the CMO has taken over and how many will need to market to them – with brand, technology, and content. Brandy talks about being directly in touch with the CMO to discuss architectural solutions, also discussing optimization, unique solutions and “painting the bigger picture.”

Corey then talks with Jennifer about Creative Realities being a digital signage solutions integrator, and ways that they differ in terms of their business. The others pick up here too, further defining experience as well. Katye and Steve also talk about metrics. Vern also discusses implementation strategy.

After the break (yes, what did everyone bring to the show…), all get on with direct focus to the title theme – an excellent, must hear discussion brought by all.

Finally, all talk about the Digital Signage Federation (DSF) some being members and/or educators.

We hope you’ve enjoyed our two months of digital signage and DSE 2018 coverage – sit back, plug in (enjoy some good laughs too) and join the Crew as we live…
