Episode 119: Impossible? A Burger, CES Gadgets and Non-Human Apartment Renters

Join the Crew host Corey Moss, Kym Frank, Tim Van Woeart, Maura Quinn, Jonathan Webster and their guest Renee Benson as they take on the impossible. 3.0.

Kym, Tim and Maura begin with –

Impossible 1: The Impossible Burger 2.0

The subject – The plant-based burger that tastes like…

Thoughts? Opinions? Brutal honesty? Tune in for this one to find out who has what to say. This, as well as the person who compares the buns to pillows. Make this stuff up we cannot.

Tim did bring the real thing to the show – a Royale with Cheese (for all of the Pulp Fiction fans tuning in).

Jonathan and Renee are being sent out next to try one, and bring those results to the first show in February. Corey abstained (or should we say refused).

Impossible 2: CES 2019, the extraordinary – rollables, foldables and more

The subject – Rollable TV’s, foldable phones, AI vacuums and Pong (it’s back!)

The articles:

Forbes – The Best TVs Of CES 2019: From 8K To Rollable OLED Display And Micro LED Technology

MSN Money – CES 2019: The future of phones is… foldable?

Digital Trends – Robotics company Trifo activates A.I.-based Ironpie robo-vacuum at CES 2019

C|Net – CES 2019: This modern Pong table is better than it has any right to be

Listen to the Crew and their guest talk about each article and the tech. Are we as an industry ready for rollable displays? Can a foldable phone withstand the abuse that will surely be brought upon it? An AI vacuum – is this the real deal or is it just buzz? Pong revisited in a cocktail table version, just how long have we waited for this to happen?

After this, there was a break to find out what all were enjoying during the show (in a bottle, glass, etc.), and then a PSA for AVaaS. The first we know why, the second we’re still not sure.

And then…

Impossible 3: The Firing Range

The subject – Can two cats live together in a rented apartment without driving each other crazy?

CNBC – Silicon Valley dad spends $1,500 a month to rent an apartment for his daughter’s 2 cats

Teams are chosen (even teams finally!) – for and against the following: could this possibly be a sound decision to pay all this rent for cats to live together in their own apartment?

Or on the flipside, is this possibly the most insane thing a human can do for non-humans?

Stick around for this one, if not to just find out that these cats may have more privileges than one of the Crew members. Though there is a convincing argument, and soft music for the win. Again, make this stuff up we cannot.

Sit back, plug in, pet your cat, drink a beer, and get ready to shell out $2999 for your very own Pong basic coffee table as we live…
